For those of us who still love the "pure" adventure game, these new breeds of games are an adventure in and of themselves because of this unpredictability. "Action Adventure", as many have pointed out, is a label easily applied to all sorts of games which may or may not even contain traditional adventure elements.
It is becoming harder and harder to categorize games these days as genre boundaries blur, especially in the adventure game genre.
